need some help with gt40p heads
Hi all,
Need some help, I installed gt 40p heads on my stock 1988 5.0 HO and when i tighten down my rocker i have alot of lash left, do i need to get longer push rods? or is there something else i need to do?
Would anyone know the length of the push rod if that is the problem?
Thanks in advance for any help
Mike
p.s. i also installed new lifters if this helps anyone to help me

if you are using stock pedastal rockers and stock push rods and a stock cam, the stock length are fine, the lifter plunger collapse when no hydraulic pressure is present which is why yuo have lash, no worry, however if you have a non stock cam and are using roller rockers, you need to measure for length, no ifs ands or buts...

this is my first head install, I`m using stock pedastal rockers and stock push rods and a stock cam. So if i get everything back together and adjust then, everything should work?
Thanks alot for your help. Thought my pony broke a leg and was going to have to shot it.
Thanks again for your help
