Head and Intake Combo:
I own an 89 LX 5.0, and am looking to purchase an intake and a set of heads, I already have the x303 cam installed, ported and polished stock intake, smog removed, mac equal length headers, full flowmasters, no cats, 30 series, 3.73 gears, 75mm maf. Everyone says locally here that trickflow is the way to go, but that cobra 93 intake setup is sure pretty, im not really trying to build a racecar, im trying to build a beautiful badass car ya know ? Any suggestions on a preferred setup ?

a polished cobra is real nice looking but expect about 20 hours doing it. tubular gt40's are my thing..... i love them, and it is old skool.
very easy to polish even though i never did mine
but nothing wrong with gt40 iron heads from a '93 cobra , if money is an issue, do the cobra stuff and have the intake matched to the heads, and a litle port work on the heads. port the exhaust, smooth the intakes on turns and a valve job
if money allows sure... aluminum heads are the way to go. but on the cheap... you can get 300 hp out of the 40's and some porting, for less than the aluminum heads alone
