Default car hunts for idle...

last night my car was running great, and all of a sudden it just wouldn't idle for ****. runs fine when you're driving it, but at idle it will surge between 700 and 1500, and after about 15 seconds it'll stall. I put 2 gallons of 110 in my car and upped the timing to 16* for the night and it was running great until this happened, just wondering if maybe the 110 effed up my o2's? i figured it'd be ok since i deluted it with a full tank of unleaded. there's no codes that i didn't have before, i cleaned the maf, checked vacuum and it surges between 8 and 15 whenever the engine revs(im saposed to have 14). the afr's jump around between 12:1 to 15:1 with the idle. and i set the timing back at 12* and triple checked it. any ideas?

I had the idle set at about 850 last night, then this started happening, and i bumped up the idle to almost 1100 and it idles smooth, no hunting for idle. that's what it's at now, but i don't really like idleing this high. also when driving everythings normal, cruising speeds afr's are around 14.7, wot it's at 12.8. just the idle problem.

woohoo I have the same problem, extremely Irratating, I thinkmy fuel pressure is too high when i have it set to 38-40 psi it surges and surges till it dies, than on cold start ups it stinks massively of fuel, so I turn my fuel pressure down to 34-36 and it idles like a champion, no idle problem or the smell of fuel on cold start ups, It just scares me running the fuel pressure that low, I do have 24lb injectors with the c&L 24lb sample tube installed in the c&L maf housing, maybe I'm thinking I need to just leave the fuel pressure to 34-36psi it scares me though. Stupid car loves to abuse my emotions even though I buy her what ever she wants and I spoil her to death but she's always trying to give me a hard time.

i guess my fuel pressure could be too high, mines around 42psi and with it there my afr's are all perfect. it's just that i haven't adjusted my fuel pressure since last year, i don't know how it would just now cause my car to do that.

personally if the problem happened after using the 110 and if it was leaded gas, I'd try swapping in a new set of o/2's as long as no vaccum leaks exist and you didn't mess with any other adjustments
