Default Where is my input for codes?

I am going to plug my car into a code machine machine tomorrow. It is a pretty expensive machine my buddy bought from mac tools. He said this thing can tell you everything that is going on with your car. How rich its running how lean its running my rpms. I think he said it runs a lot of data streams. As your driving down the road with this thing it will feed you information about what is going on while your driving. But where is my input for the machine. Cause if it"s under the hood how can I drive and see what this thing is saying? Thanks

You will not get data from under hood EEC 1V connectors. At right kickpanel is the computer. I have a AMS computer that hooks up to harness and stock computer. The AMS has data printing onto the handheld.

The only way to receive on-the-fly data with an EEC computer is with a Breakout Box, which is not part of modern day scanners. Your buddy will be able to extract codes only.

The good old breakout box. I remember them when new. Had a piece that could record a event like 10-15 seconds prior to activating, was for the fustrating intermittent faults. The Anderson Motor Sports hook up I got will give all information like OBD 11. $845 on sale. Can change timing, a/f, idle speed, and whole mess of other things.
