Default K-Member, Motor Mounts Questions

I just purchased an '81 hatchback today and it has a 3.3L inline 6. It goes without saying it will be replaced with a 302. Eventually I plan on acquiring a tubular k-member, but for now I will run the stock k-member. Will a 302 bolt in placed using 302 motor mounts to this k-member?

Google provided a link where it was said that the 3.3 k-member was the only oddball out of the whole bunch. Actual motor mounting position is way forward compared to the 2.3 and 5.0. Can anyone confirm this? Just my luck.

I may have sourced one locally that should accommodate a 302. All suspension pieces should work though correct?

yea everything else should work but like mentioned your 6cyl k will not work. if possible i would try and upgrade to the later fox brakes at this time as i believe the early 81's had the small brakes like the later 4cyl cars

I actually already have 94/95 spindles on the way as well as new hubs, rotors, and calipers. The rear will get the 94-98 10.6" disc brakes using the North Racecars brackets. I picked up an 8.8 last night and will be hunting down Ranger axles to convert to 5 lug. Thanks for all the help fellas.
