This is probably a stupid question : I have a set of AFR 185's stud mount. I was going to pick up a set of Comp Cams Pro Magnum rockers.
My Q is "Do I need self aligning rockers or not?"
I know I should just look at the paper work that came w/heads, but I am at work at the moment.
What are the differences between the S/A and regular rockers?

regular rockers dont self align....

you CAN use them, i dont recommend for or against them. but i'd rather use guideplates.

So S/A don't requre guide plates. Okay now I get it. No I am deff. going to run guide plates.. Thanx

the problem that I have with self aligning is that if you get even a HINT of valve float... whats going to keep that rocker from spinning off the valve?

so even if you DO go with S/A... get guideplates
