Default Tach went out

Hey guys I have a 91 notchback and I hooked up autogage tach and today I notice it wasn't workin I have the white and and red wire hooked up with the power on the back of the deck or cd player I had covered And not exposed now iam wondering if I should just route them somewhere else thanks

Most tachs have a wire going to the ground side of the coil. Did the tach come with instructions? There very easy to install.

The green wire on the tach is what signals the rpm. Red wire is key on power, white is illumination, black is ground.

Put in AC/DC CD and see if tach moves.
