1995 GT Automatic shifter is stiff

I have a 1995 Mustang GT, recently the shifter became hard to move in and out of the gears. Any idea what to look for?

Cable would be good place to start.

Over $200 for a cable....... WTF?????

wow really? i would just disconnect the cable from the tranny. then try moving the shifter. if the shifter is still stiff, its more then likely your cable. if the shifter becomes easy to move then you know its in the tranny thats the issue
