Radio Wires and Many other questions!
Hey boys and girls,
I am new to the mustang forums but not the mustang world. Anyhow questions I have. First, went to install a aftermarket radio in my 93 LX with Premium sound and I noticed 5 harnesses and 1 blue harness and antenna wire. What are these? The blue wire I believe goes to the amp under the pass. seat. 1 of the harnesses also does the same but what are the other 4 for? And where do they go. Second, My passanger side power mirror doesnt work the drivers side does though is it the switch? Third, when I first start me car in the morning it wants to high idle at about 2000 RPM's for about a minute or so then comes back down to around 850-900. I replaced the IAC is this normal if not what can it be? I have plenty of other questions that I will be posting and hope everyone can help me out on some issues I have. I recently just found and bought back my old college car that I had 10 years ago which is a 1993 Calypso Green 5 speed black interior LX 5.0. I am super excited to get it back but unfortunatly its not how I sold it! It has been sitting in a barn for the last 5 years and I recently got it running this last month or so. Very Solid car and planning on doing a full restore. Im talking bead blasting, undercoating, roisserie style. But for now I just want to have fun with it for a bit until I can save a bit of cash to do it right. By the way I bought it back for $600.00. Sweet! Sold it 8 years ago for $4800. Not bad

The blue wire from the radio to the amp is the rem wire. There should only be 2 pigtails behing the radio that I know of, 5 doesn't sound right. And for the idle issue when first staring, perhaps change your tps?? Hopefully me posting on here will get other people to so we can get you some answers. This is a really great forum, everyone on here is always more than helpful. Sometimes it takes a few days for posts to start coming in.
