9 inch rear end help

I have a 89' mustang and was needing a 9inch rear end. I found one off craiglist from a older cougar will it fit? or should i just stick with a 8.8?

because it is not a direct bolt in, you will need to have the proper bracketry welded on to accept your upper /lower control arm set up since the 8/9 inch rears worked off leaf spring set ups in oem applications

Unless you are making more than maybe 700HP at the crank just use the 8.8.
Much less money to put a spool/axles in it than to mess with the heavyier 9".......
