Smile New to 5.0 section

Hello all,
I've owned a 93 LX 4 banger for the past couple years and recently purchased a 92 GT Hatch as a project/weekend car. I'm not familiar with 5.0 mustangs and have a bit of a problem. I've done the T5 swap on the 2.3l car and I know the ins an outs of the T5. But I was stumped when I came across the clutch setup in this car. It's simply a cable bolted to the clutch fork. The 2.3l tranny has a pivoting arm that pulls the clutch fork in the other direction. Is this special to 5.0s or did the previous owner not know what he was doing? Btw the clutch is extremely heavy, heavier than any other clutch I've messed with.
Thanks

that's an adjustable cable and stiff?? woul;d have to feel it to determine if it's acceptable, but often it's a cable issue when it's to stiff

mine is also very stiff. im putting in a new clutch and pressure plate to see if that fixes it. I have tried 3 new adjustable cables and none have helped. i even have the firewall adjuster.

No way its acceptable. It is heavy as hell. I haven't tried adjusting it yet, i wanted to make sure nothing was wrong with the setup before i messed with it. If its still heavy ill yank the cable and see whats up. The guy i bought it from put in a ford racing stage 2 clutch. Will that make it heavier?
Thanks
