Default Oil Pump Shaft Wont line up when stabby dizzy

I have tried stabbing this dizzy for about 3 hours. I have turned the oil pump shaft with a 1/4 socket probably a hundred times and I cant seem to get it to line up. The shaft keeps leaning on the wall. This dizzy has been hard to stab since I bought it new. Any tricks or tips?

What can I tell you, I have to take my engine half way down again because mine was on the outside of the eye but when I put it back I use a socket from my cordless drill and I weld a piece of rod long enough to spin it. Hope this will help you, good luck.

The shaft shouldn't be leaning on the wall, it should be mostly in the center. Are you sure it's sitting in the pump correctly?

I know it was in the pump correctly when I pulled the dizzy? Is there a way to check without having to drop the d**n pan?

The shaft appears to be in the pump correctly. It just doesnt sit exactly in the center of the hole. I noticed my old EFI dizzy was longer from the gear down versus my Motorcraft carb dizzy. Its about a half inch shorter. Could this be part of the issue?

you know those little steel rings they install on the driveshaft that prevent the shaft from pulling up with the dizzy? they're also for alignment.
