12v should NEVER be applied to the TPS sensor, its 5v system

and the .98v ****.... purely a myth. anywhere from .5v to 1v is acceptable

Here's the problem. I took the tps off and tested it at autozone. Tested fine! When I test the three wires at the tps sensor I get 12 volts to all three wires with and without the sensor on! What could be causing this? Even though I tested the tfi and it tested good should I buy a new one anyways? Sorry for rambling I am just so frustrated!

sounds like you have a voltage issue that can likely be traced back to the computer itself. What you are going to need to do is actually pull the ECM out and start testing your harness for shorts. Once the wiring is verified to be intact, then you can test and condemn the ECM

Ok, first I would like to say thank you guys for all the advice you have given me. I am just so frustrated with this EFI setup. Anyways, I was digging in to the wiring under the dash and it turns out that I do have the ECM test plug!! It was rerouted by lidio to under the dash. To make a long story short, I went to autozone and bought the 30 dollar code tester. Well I plugged it in and all it does is buzz with the audio on and in the test position with it in the test position and the key on!! It wont pull any codes at all!! Wierd stuff. I was reading in to the scanner manual and it doesnt really say anything about if this happens. It just says that the scanner should start pulling codes after a minute of testing. Yes I checked the battery and everything is good on it. Has any one else out there had the same problem or know anything about this?
