8.8 Upper Control Arm Bushing removal
Anyone ever replace the upper bushings on an 8.8 at the top of the housing where the upper controls arm bolt to. I recently purchased a 86 8.8 and they need to be replaced pretty bad. I purchased new bushings and cant quite figuire out how to go about removing the bad ones. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

you can drive them out with an air hammer if your careful, but they make a special tool for such, to reinstall you can use a piece of thread rod and try and get large diameter washers to pull them back in most of the way, but there is a spacial cup tool for such, latemodel restoration sells it

If they are stock,
Perhaps a set of stronger aftermarket upper control arms ? Check the for sale section of the forum, the job is not fun on the car, id remove them.
A pic of mine are enclosed to show what your really dealing with
