I do till have the stock shroud.

I may try the thermostat first since there seems to be agreement that 160 is too low. If that doesn't fix it then I can always spend the extra $ on a fan and clutch. I found that Autozone sells lifetime warranty fan for $29, and the clutch for $65.

Its not a daily driver, so I have time to experiment.
