You ever notice how a little project (bad fuel pump) turns into a major problem (replacing everything)? Since I had everything apart, I figured that I should replace the tank straps too but I'm not having much luck removing the old ones. Does the pin slide out of the loop in the strap through the holes on the mounting bracket? I'm not having much luck getting them out... :/

lol, yep. it just pushes out once the rust breaks free...
