5 Speed swap
Hey I was wondering if swapping the AOD out of my car for a 5 speed would be a good idea or would it just take too much effort? I've heard that all you have to do is find a clutch bracket and whatnot and that it just bolts in but I'm not sure so I thought I would ask before I start a task that may be pointless? Any input would be great.

As long as you find all the parts, it's not a bad swap. I've converted a 90 GT and a 93 LX and the worst part was getting myself twisted into a position where I could swap the pedal assembly.

Uh yea try doing that in a car with a cage, I had to be completely upside down in the seat to do it. It took a good ten minutes upside down until I realized that the damn clutch cable doesn't even mount directly to the clutch pedal, but instead mounts to a bar behind the gas pedal that is link horizontally to the clutch pedal...
