vertical dew wipes - '87 convertible quarter windows

Default vertical dew wipes - '87 convertible quarter windows
Does anyone have any tips on removing/replacing the vertical dew wipes on the (convertible) quarter windows? They seem impossible to just simply "slip out". Also, is the metal flashing that is connected to the window glued down or just riveted? If it's glued down, any tips on dissolving the glue?
