Default What does the tranny governer do?
I have installed a transgo shift kit on my AOD. (92 GT), Since the governer was an optional thing I did not install it but now I do. I really want to know what it does and if I will feel a difference? need your pro advice............

QUIK can give you an answer on this, I bought a shift kit from him and I didn't install the tail shaft governor. I beleive that it gives you manual control over the gears.

allows it to shift at 6k. it should be in the instructions also but its for higher rpms shifts. around 5800 to 6k... its fun shiftint that high
