well you can just remove the smog pump and get a shorter belt. as for the a/c i dont kno about the tensioner flip but you can get the power steering relocation bracket from FRPP for like $35 that moves the p/s up. thats what i use. dummy pullies are stupid

Just know, if you are going to shorten your belt I highly recommend you buy an aftermarket fan/electric fan because a shorter belt will spin that clutch fan much faster. You always hear those horror stories about a clutch fan slicing through the hood on a good rev!

^^^ thats the dumbest thing ive ever heard. a shorter belt will not effect anything. the pullies are the same size and therefore will always spin the same speed.

and where have you ever heard the "horror story" ive never heard of anything like that

i highly recommend you stop talking out of your ****

Oh sorry, I thought he had aftermarket pullies, I didn't finish reading through his post as I was in a hurry to finish installing my 24lb injectors. And if you havnt heard the cons of a clutch fan, you must have not been around very long... hit up google. There are tons of stories of people's clutch fans breaking up and shooting debris everywhere.

well even with aftermarket pullies the change in rpm is not anything to worry about. and this change in rpm is from the pullies and would have NOTHING to do with the belt length. i run underdrive pullies and a clutch fan and i havent had any issues and my clutch is far from new. and wouldnt you think if a short belt and underdrive pullies exploded clutch fans people would know about it and there would be some sort of disclaimer when purchasing them??

if you do regular maintaince on your vehicle and actually inspect things like you should there shouldnt be a problem. those people that had that isse prob had a worn clutch that should have been replace long before it broke.

plus the links you posted were for chevys anyway haha
