From Camaro to Mustang
I drive a 75 camaro which i love very much, but it is forsale, like everything i drive and if i get what i want out of it which will be about ten thousand i was thinking of converting to a mustang, not sure if i wanted to go with the 5.0 or 4.6 but definatly a gt a cobra. I am wondering what would be the best way to go money wise so i will still have plenty left over to trick it out to the max...any suggestions?

You can pick up a nice fox body for 4-5 g's, you can make a very fast and nice handling 5.0 with 6-5 thousand. The only year in the foxbody era that a cobra was made was 1993 but don't waste your money. Which body style do you like better? Notchback or Hatchback? BTW with the foxes the 5.0 came in both the GT and LXs.

I agree...get a fox 5.0 for bout 4-5 g's and then mod it up engine...suspension...whatever...parts for these cars are fairly cheap and money goes far... putting 5g's into in can get you 350+hp...hope you find what you want...

clean foxes can still be found for cheap money. mine 2.5 yrs ago was bought for 1k and in decent shape
and dont forget about conversions. i got my eye on a 97 sn95 loaded vert v6 for real cheap money and car is in great shape overall. hell the v6 only has like 80k in miles. its my next project, im doing a mild 5.0 boulvard cruiser, something that handles, looks good and still runs low 13s all day long. i figure i would have about 5k tops into that project and that includes a few cosmetic addons.
so dont leave out possiblites to be had with 4bangers or 6cyls

Hey, thanks everyone for the advice and i am considering geting a 94 cobra simply because how it looks and i love the tires and wheels, but im not sure how they are mechanical wise..like i said not that big on mustangs lately

The only thing about the SN-95s is that they are a bit heavier than the foxes. But there is nothing wrong with that being your favorite one, it can be made to go just as fast as the 5.0s. Keep us updated.

Yea the SN95 body i think, looks way better than the fox body. Plus its only like .4 slower, and can be made just as fast. The interior is way nicer than fox bodies also, and in 1994 they added passenger side airbags.
