Default How to remove and install hatch struts?

After using a prop to keep the hatch up for about 10 years i'm finally am ready to change the worn out struts.I not sure how to remove the old one as there doesn't appear to be any bolts to remove.Any help would be greatly appricated.

there are little clips on each end. Take a flathead or a knife(be carefull lol) and pry the clips and the struts will come right off.

pull the clips out the old ones and remove with someone holding the hatch of course, then the new ones have clips installed and you leave those on and they press fit on

Thanks for your help on this. The knife trick worked and no blood.I swapped them out last night .Works so much better.I don't know why I didn't do this sooner.

I would do mine but its 50 Buck for the 2 struts, and I open my hatch 1 time a month maybe?? Lol so i'll put that 50 elsewhere, and glad to help.
