Default Rear Sway Bar and Aftermarket LCA Question

Am I right in saying that the sway bar mounts inside the control arms? I have aftermarket tubulars with just the bracket welded on underneath the control arm.

I think it depends on the brand as to how/where they mount.

As you know the bar literally mounts inside the stock lower control arm. If you're using the stock clip nuts in the stock orientation then the bolts would screw in toward the center of the car. That would mean the bar should go to the inbound side of the tabs. Thinking that through some more this would also give you maximum clearance with the tire sidewall. In reality it shouldn't matter as long as it is securely mounted and there are no clearance or stress issue with the mounting.
