Idling Trouble Help Me
I have a 88 GT with a 306 ci 5.0 it has SVO aluminum heads,24lb injectors,BBK fuel rails,Cobra uppre and lower intake, and a BBK cold air intake. The car will not idle, i put a fuel pressure regulator on it, and am running it at 40 lbs, from advice from a friend. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm wondering if the Throttle Position Sensor may be out of position.

Here s 2 cents from a new guy, take it for what its worth.
Ive been working through idle issues since Ive purchased the
car, probably about two months now.
Eventually Im going to stumble across the fix. I dont have alot
of experience with 302 s, let alone a modified 302, but Ive been
picking away and reading alot on what causes crappy idle.
I have a friend who has some experience with them and he tells
me this is pretty much how my car is going to idle due to the cam
and the upgrades on it.
I find that hard to believe and i guess Ill find it out for myself.
Anyway, I replaced my IAC and it definately helped the problem.
It still will have a tendency to stall after downshifting from 2nd to
1st ,but its alot better.
Im going to check the TPS and base idle next then start looking at
vaccuum.
