Oil is way overfull and smells like gas

No no, go ahead and explain yourself. Why doesn't the 5 quart capacity that everyone else uses doesn't do the job?

Capacities
Engine Oil:
All except 4cyl turbo
Without filter change: 4qts
With Filter change: 5qts
4cyl Turbo
Without filter change 4.5qts
With filter change 5.5qts
um, looks like even if you have a 4cyl turbo and put 6qts in you have too much. Unless you do not have stock oil pan on it.
Either way if the oil is smelling like gas you have a problem. How long does it take to get this way? It would take quite a bit of gas to make the oil level noticably.

since you asked a question, nah, I have terrfic oil pressure in my 93, above half. I've stopped arguing my case here because I'm fully aware of what the manual say's goes in the car, the simple fact is, the oil light is on at 5 qts, and the dipstick reads low from the full mark. This thread has been severely hijacked for this ****, sorry op.

just tryin to help fellow mustang owners one thing that can happen from being over full is ur crank will splash against the oil and cause air bubbles and the oil pump doesnt pump air very good (low to no oil pressure)
