Hey everyone, just a quick question. I have a 91 mustang GT, and a 95 V6. I want to take the engine out of the gt, along with the tranny, driveshaft, and rearend and put it in the V6. Is this a derict swap and will the V6's chassis beable to handle it?</P>


I know that the 95 was the last year that they made the 5.0, so I would assume that it would be no problem and the only thing that I would have to change would be the motor mounts.</P>


And if your wondering why i want to do the swap (don't get me wrong, I love the fox body, it's probubly my favorite) it's because the 91 has a salvage title and it would cost about as much to make it legal as it did to buy it, so in a way i will be saving more by swaping.</P>


Any thoughts that you all might have would be great.</P>

how much for the fox body stang? it is very possible to do the swap but you would have to change the wiring and computer and all the fuel injection stuff. if you went with a carb set up it would be easier but where is the fun in that?

see i own both mustangs so i have all the wiring and the engine, tranny, driveshaft, rearend and all the good stuff. i just want to know what the things are that i might need to get to make this happen, engine mounts, blah, blah.

yea i will work you need ot get a different intake or a larger hood. and the 8.8 in the fox is a little narrower in the sn95. so your need different offset wheels. like deepdish

I have a different hood, it's the stalker hood. I have GT wheels of a 98, will those work with the 91's rear end?

4lug rear end 5 lug wheels. and no they wont youll have to change the a 5 lug pattern and then get spacers.

Oh and where can I get some engine mounts? Or can I just take them off the 91?</P>
