i jus picked me up a 90 gt all stock auto for 500 trans is junk but have another ... but not im having probs with it over heating . flushed the system and changed thermstat . but guessin prob head gasket ? but also the car is running rich and i keep fouling num 2 plug . can u guys help me with this . and whats firing order on a 90 .... thanks

well the thing is im not losing water anywhere and none n my oil and car dont smoke

F.O. is counterclockwise...Seen a water pump on a car that the fins had dissolved.(was nubs left) The 2 plug is fouled with? Gas?(Stuck injector) Oil?

plug looks oily . but car dont smoke or anything well blows out black smoke if get on it . but figured thats jus from it runnin rich

my 91 was converted from 4cyl to 5.0 and runs really rich, i had it checked out by a few friends who own mustangs and my issue is my O2 sensors were not hooked up, check those and see if they are old/plugged. as for the smoke and fouled plug i would run a compression test on all cyl, very well could be piston rings or head gasket

if was headgasket wouldnt there be like white smoke tho ? of rings be blue ? im gonna check compression this week on it .

i checked with a buddy of mine that has a 90 gt and his blew out black while running with bad o2 sensors and a blown ring... he found it by runnin the compression test

prob is one cylinder = won't be o2's, run a compression test then a leakdown test if need be for confirmation of an internal issue.
