Default 5.0 conversion, no start, no fuel

Fired up fresh motor with starting fluid, runs great if I keep spraying. Have fuel pressure to fuel rails. Can anyone steer me in the right direction as to where to look? BTW, engine is dropped in a Miata.
Thanks, Dann

One bad bad idea to run a motor on just starting fluid. What year engine is this, mass air or sd? Need more info bud.

Just theorizing here. I don't know my stuff. If you have good fuel pressure and the injectors aren't firing then you should look at why they are not firing.

Power to PCM?
harnesses connected?
does the pcm read rpm from the crank trigger? It may not know the engine is even turning over.
