Default My first 1/4 mile run

My brother and I finally went to the drag strip yesterday to race our Mustangs (mines a 94 and he has an 01).
We did about 6 runs, but it was just too hot and humid out to do any more.
My car came close to overheating after I shut it down for about 10 minutes then went back on the track again.
How do you guys handle keeping your cars cool when it's so hot and sticky outside?
I was thinking of making an override switch for my fan to force it on when I want.

Here's the best I did (run #3):

R/T... 1.089

60 ft... 2.289

1/8... 9.207 @ 78.69

1/4... 14.116 @ 101.36

I kept the car fully loaded with 40 lb subwoofer and all (just about 3600 lbs including me in it).
I wanted to run exactly what I run on the street everyday.

That seems a little slow for having the 6 pound supercharger on there but, i bet the heat didnt help much. Im sure on a normal day you could get that into the 13s at least.

with that mph your a good mid/low 13 car but your 60's need worked on. reason why your et is high

also did your hp figures with the calculator and figure you would like to see them

Your engine is making approximately 224.77 HP at the wheels, and about 265.22 HP at the flywheel.

I don't know if your R/T was factored in, like if it was Time trials, but you may want to work on that also.

Reaction time has no affect on E.T. ever. The clocks do not start untill your car breaks the beams.

Yeah the heat must have killed you because i have a 94 GT with most the mods you have in your sig maybe a little more but i dont have a 6lb supercharger and my best run was a 14.3 at 96 MPH..Nice car looks clean and awesome

Our 94s weight a lot more than the Foxes. With me and my system factored in, my 94 GT weighs a little over 3600 - and I only weigh 190.

btw, first time I ever went to the track, my best time was a 14.9 at 93 mph. But when I ran that, I didn't have my B&M shifter or my Centerforce clutch - not that it would've made a huge difference, but it may have helped a little on shifting or taking off.

At 93 mph, any estimate of what I should be running? I think I'm in the same spot as sc94gt, I need to work on my 60' time.
