That red stuff from GM just doesn't work as well as normal a/f. It was designed to resolve some specific corrosion problem in some GM cars iirc.

the red stuff turns to foam if you have air in your cooling system! (if dexcool is what you speak of)

The orange foam was when i was draining the oil not coolant.

alright thanks adder. I am still curious if coolant were to be in my oil what would the oil be like Milky or easy to tell or what?

Most likely. But if he's using Dexcool and is losing a small amount of coolant, I'd want to be certain it's not getting into the pan.

orange foam in the oil doesnt sound normal at all u might have a small leek around the intake manifold or a head gasket i would try retorqueing all of them.

Oil can have an orange or redish color to it. The problem is with him running Dexcool, it makes it hard to be certain it's NOT coolant, especially since he's losing some.
