ive finished my motor and put everything back in but my car seems like it dosent want to run with the fuel pump going... when i cut it off it will run normal for a little bit, my fpr is hooked up but i put in a 155lph f.p, my mass air is on the way but i figured that with the speed density would still run pretty good just not at idle..any ideas on why my car sucks... thanks

what displacement is the engine the 30 lb injectors are big for a 302 combo. you probably should have gone with 24's

yeah, the afr 185s, the Xcam, and the track heat intake are all way too much for the SD. also the 30# inj. are a bit much for this combo, until you get the MAF conversion done you might be able to drop the fuel pressure a whole lot to compensate. i would try 35psi, and start going backwards until you get it good enough to run atleast.

im glad you cleared that up quik, 30# are to big for any n/a small block in my opinion. with #24 and fuel pressure raised you will get the same thing with a much cleaner idle. the problem is that too big of an injector makes the computer shorten the pulse width to compensate, which makes the off idle a little boggy most of the time.

30s are usually recomended over 400 hp regardless of the CI

also for ppl to look for used 24s look to find a LS1 they depending on the year have 26s and 24s
