I know exactly what your saying. It seems like when I wave to someone who has a 4.6 mustang or the new mustangs it's like their to good to wave back or they just think they are better than us 5.0 owners. Like 5.0coupe said alot of the people are either girls or old people. I have a stang that sticks out pretty good and I do get alot of compliments but it would be nice to get a wave back once in a while when your acknowledging other stang owners. Oh well such is life[]

I live out in the same area as you fedex (I'm pretty sure anyways, I think you said something like Portland OR awhile ago), and no one waves at me either. My car is pretty nice looking (least I think so , all black GT that is very clean), and loud. Out here there seem to be very few decently modded muscle/pony cars. The only people that ever give me any attention are people in late 60's early 70's built/restored chevelles/camaros/mustangs/etc. and fellow fox bodies. Which there are about 8 of, no one out here has a fox body and those that do are in crap condition wise usually. No one else in my area seems to know/care about 5.0s or something. Everyone out here except those that attend the track, who are people I never see outside of it driving around for some reason, buy a stock mustang GT/camaro Z28 and leave it that way. I could count the number of mildy-highly modified muscle/ponycars that I have talked to in the last 2 years outside of the track on one hand. Yet I see about 20 damn ricers a day minimum.

what kinda hood is on that fox?
It is a 429 cobra jet scoop original. You can find replicas in JEGS . Make sure you get the larger one.

No one realy waves in south carolina but everyone wants to race. If they don't want to race they want you to stop and talk. One thing for sure , every single car with a descent sounding exhaust will rev their engine at you no matter if they are coming or going. They don't even care even if they know you will smoke they @$$.

i live in the portland/or area, lol and i dont get waves from anyone. I think the only time i heard a positive thing was i stopped at a light and a kid in a 60 something mustang complemented me. I thought that was cool. the only other fox i see around is a kid that i talked to awhile back and tried to get to race me. Said he went 170 on the freeway on a stock AOD, it was hard to hold the laugh back. My buddy has a VW and honestly, everyone that drives by in a VW aknowlges him. Weird. Well from now on when i see another fox, lol ill give him a little wave.

I get a lot of waves and compliments in Vegas. I think a lot of people here just recognize the work done, whether a ricer, stang lover, GM lover, old guys in a Benz, or the lady who asked if my car was a new Jag (WTF???) Anyways, there will always be haters and people who think that their car is too good and they won't acknowledge anyone else's. There will always be people who think that other cars are a waste if it's not made by a certain manufacturer. I usually acknowledge a car that shows it has been loved and worked on hard, even if it's still under construction.
