i have a 86 gt and i changed the oil recently, before the pressure was a little high when cold but then heated up it went in the middle like normal. now when its warm the needle goes to the n of normal the old oil was Valvoline 10w-30. i put in 5w-30 for the winter. and its conventional

Be aware changing viscosity that engine may use some oil trying to adjust. May be enough wear in side that returning to 10-30 is good idea. Actually what you need to do is hook up a wet oil gauge and see what kind of pressure you really have. then refer to first two sentences. Bubba
