Default 91 gt runing hot

i got a 91 mustang gt just got building a 306 with trick flow alm heads, intake ,rollor rockers, 24 pound injectors, 75mm throble body, long tube headers and so on. i put the motor in and now it runs hot . it is a round 230 ,240 drivng. it will over heat at idle. it has a stock radiator with the stock fan. it has a 180 thermostat in it . the timing is set at 10 with the spout out and it has a tune on it too. i dont know maby it needs a biger radiator i dont know. any one has a simlimar set with the same thing thanks.

dumb question on my part, did u put a new w/p on? i know also some times they r a bi!!! to get air bubbles out of the system.

Check and see if lower hose is collapsing. If thermostat did not come with bleeder driil small hole in thermostat and put at 12 oclock position. When filling cooling system all air will come out.

no the lower hose is not collapsing i will cheak the thermostat after i get off work

i took a look at my car again today i cheaked the therastat it was ok the water pump is moving water. i was wondring about hte head gaskets i put both of them on with the front on the gasket in the front of the motor os that right thanks

check the fan, check the fan clutch. Do you still have your shroud installed? Is your fan hitting the shroud and not allowing the fan to spin? Not trying to be your English teacher here, but to better help you, use proper grammar and spelling.

I used a Mishimoto radiator. Kind of silly but have you checked your radiator cap? Hook it up to pressure tester or heck they are cheap.

I used a Mishimoto radiator too, and I never had overheating problems again. plus, now i'll never have to buy another radiator because of their lifetime warranty.

anyways, good luck and i hope you find the problem soon, is it your DD?
