91 Mustang Gt to 95 Cobra Motor Swap
 

I recently purchased a 91 Mustang GT and have the opportunity to purchase the motor, tranny, and computer out of a 95 Mustang Cobra. I was curious as to how exhausting and detailed this motor swap would be before I purchase the Cobra motor, tranny, and computer. Is it a direct drop or will I have to change out motor mounts and curious as to what other items would need to be replaced in doing the swap. Any advice would be greatfully appreciated.

well i know the cobra should have a manual, is your car a manual?

Same block, different heads/intake. I don't know about the oil pan though.

Mounts the same. Need wiring for ecm also. Timing cover water pump all accessory brackets are different as is trans input shaft and bell housing. The more you leave it as a 95 combination the less issues. Mixing them togeather will become trying.

Intake,fpr,egr system,thermactor controls(tab tad vs aird airb), fuel rail, and headers are different. The heads are same.
