Default EFI Charging Problem

I have an 89 5.0 and I can not get the alternator to charge the battery. I have replaced it with a new one that was tested before I left the store and both sets of wires coming from the alternator have been changed and rewired correctly (i think) someone please tell me this is an easy fix...

I would check the fusable links with a volt meter first. Have you had the insturment cluster out? Cause I had the one in my 91 out and had a connection problem with the idiot light and if that dont work it wont charge, at least in my 91

go to autozone. Have them test the alternator and the battery. They can do this on the car and it is free. If the battery shows good but the alternator shows bad and you know it is fine because it is new then it is probably a wireing issue. Check all battery cables.
