Default Kenne Bell for a 93.

Hey all,
Has anybody here put a Kenne Bell blower on a 93 5.0. I am thinking this is something that I would like to do. Just curious if anyone has good/bad things to say and what their experience has been.

Thanks

I know a guy with a 90 mustang with a KB on it. He said it works pretty well, he ran a 10.3 on street slicks.

if youre talking about the blowzilla screw type blower then no matter what the price its a good deal. on a stock car they make around 90hp to the wheels at 6psi, cant beat that with a stick.

Yea the guy i know with the 90 KB has a lot of **** done to it. 42 lb injectors, twisted aluminum heads, X303 cam, trick flow springs, upgraded rocker arms, tremec k3550, l/t headers, basically too much to list but its an awesome car though. It has over 600hp at the crank, and he drives it around on the street in california. I guess he knows some shop that only cares if the car burns clean lol.

Thanks for the response guys. Im looking at the KB STD INLET 1500. It is good on a stock motor for up to 8psi (so it says) I def. would run more than the 8psi. I dont want to mod. my motor out to much, just ram air exaust and gears + blower. Hmmmm...perhaps I would need to upgrade the tranny and put a short shifter in too. idk.

If you have the money the kenne bell is definately worth it.. I know 6-8 psi doesn't sound like a lot, but it is a HUGE deal on the 5.0.. I am going to put a blower on my new engine, and it is going to be 6-8 psi, but I doubt I will go with a kenne bell... Probably a Paxton or Vortech.

all three of those blowers are good it just depends on what kind of power you want and when in the power band you want the power. the vortech and paxton are both centrifugal and build more boost as you move through the powerband, the kenne bell produces full boost all the way through the powerband and so full boost is nearly constant. Again its all preference those are probably the 3 best blowers though

Now Im wondering if I should stiffen the chassis, suspension and upgrade the ****e stock brakes before i do the blower. It is a convertable, so i kinda get that flexing thing going on when hitting bumps and such (though, I do my best to avoid bumps). Also, It can be hard to get my car to hook up now, so I know it would be next to impossible getting on it hard with the KB. Yeah, yeah, tires....I know. Looks like Ill be spending $15 000 to get my stang to where I want it.

any thoughts with how I can balance al this out?

thanks
