Default First Timer, 92 gt won't start.

When I turn on the ignition I can hear the fuel pump turn on, the car won't start and the fuel pump won't stop. I am not smelling any gas either. Any suggestions? The car has gas in the tank.

a bad ECM or related component can cause the fuel pump to run constantly. Check for spark before proceeding any further.

Yep, check for spark. I had a similar problem last week and it was the Ignition control modual attached to the distributor. It had shorted out when some kids tried to steal my car battery. If there's spark, and the fuel pump is going, and fuel shoots out of the stater valve, it may be your computer is scrambled and telling your injectors not to do their thing.

There Are always two thing that a car won't start. Spark or fuel.

Well, true but there are many other reasons, timming could be way off, timing chain broke, starter died, on, and on and on...

Generally, it is either of the two. Also, it is easier to check for spark or fuel. But yes you're right too.
