if its a completely stock or close to it hes putting around 175HP to the wheels, with a good tune a 5-6psi kit will give him an additional 45-70(good tune being the latter) which still isnt close to 300HP. with the 8-10psi kits and a stock motor with a descent tune you might see 275HP but i wouldnt expect more than that. torque with either kit will be a whole lot more. with 8-10psi probably close to 400.

He's not just slapping that on the car is he? You know you HAVE to have some additional parts for the car to run. (ie fuel pump, FMU or FPR & tune, oil supply & return lines, ect...)

ORIGINAL: Quik

car will be fine and power full. stock setup is actually what the basic vortech kit is thought after. the stock cam is a great cam for boosted applications. only thing i would do is retorque the head bolts to the specific recomendation. im pretty sure 100fltbs is correct. he can run the stock given 8 or 9psi as long as teh heads dont lift and he keeps the timing down and runs 93 fuel
+1
Once again I agree with quik.

I'm not questioning your knowledge but 175 hp to the wheels seems kinda low, you're probably right.. but damn... lol...

what do you think a stock mustang puts to the wheels?? and how much do you think simple bolt ons add, at the most 10HP to the wheels with an exception of a couple. just to give you an idea u/d pulleys claim 10-15 and wont give you but 3-8hp. see, it doesnt add up quick until the cubic inches goes up, the compression goes up, or you get H/C/I.

i love when ppl do the book hp figures. if we all did that then we would all have close to 400hp stangs

also some dyno operators do cheat the figures some. they up the numbers sometimes to help the owner feel good about themselves and how they just spent all tha money and didnt get the numbers they expected. thats why you see ppl saying yea my motor is good for 300 to the wheels and when they do get a real dyno number its more like 240

like the one dude that was on here DBeck. claimed he had 240rwhp and didnt have any real mods
