if the rotor is pointing at 12 oclock then its off. it should point like 1 oclock, some cap bowls have a mark on it so you can line up the rotor

I'll try to see it if's off by the 1 tooth etc. the cap has mark for #1 plug which is at 12:00 if ya are standing in front of the car is what I meant, the rotor is facing #1 plug on the dizzy cap is what I meant.

Thanks for ya input guys, I see what happens and let ya know if worst comes to worse my stang buddys also coming down this weekend to get this replacement engine going it probally is what we are talking about and i'm probally off just a hair.

Thanks Eric.

If your #1 on the cap is at 12:00 then you may have the timing too retarded.

Update is still not starting> Without my stang sucks as i havn't been without a car in years lol.

Firing order correct/fuel pressure good and getting enough fuel/TDC was done 100's times manual by moving the crank and also by bumping the key.
11/12/1 don't matter rotated 180 no go tryed one tooth to left and right no go, changed the distruber even no go. spits and sputters if anything otherwise just rolls over. timing advanced and retarded no go.

my buddy helped out when he came down and no go. will have another few mustang nutz coming by monday to attempt again hopefully all goes well.

The guy who built the engine came by to install the rockers, He knows his stuff thats for sure wish I had him here. He builds lots of high end corba engines now in toronto and does some side work. rockers installed were comp cam rollers 1.6's

I trust his work as he does them each day and I know of many engines he has built that run kick ***.
