Car shutting down when it gets warmed up while driving
Hey guys. Quick background on the car. Just rebuilt 302, .30 over. Mods: Intake Spacer (higher valve covers), stock cam/heads, smog delete, shorty unequal length headers, jegs off road h pipe.
I've been having issues ever since I had it rebuilt that it would just shut down. I have been literally driving along at about 3k and the stang just dies. After it dies, it will not start back up for about 5 min then it will start back up and run for a while. The strangest part is that it will sit in my driveway and idle forever. Since the rebuild, i have replaced the alternator, coil, wires, dist. cap, ignition control module, fuel pump, and fuel pressure regulator. Has anyone had this problem? I really dont think it is a vac leak however I have not checked. I will do so today but if anyone could give me other insight, it would be greatly appreciated!

Hey
Take it for another drive. The next time it dies, hook up a fuel pressure gauge and see if you have fuel pressure, and also take a spark tester with you. That way, you can somewhat isolate the problem to being fuel or spark related.
TFI modules are somewhat know for causing the above issues, but again, see whats missing in the fuel or spark the next time it dies and get back to us
Hope this helps somewhat.

Thanks for the advice, The TFI module is a brand new unit so I have doubts that that would be the problem. I will take it out and see what is up with the above suggestions. Anyone got anything else that I should look into?
