okay the clutch was toast! it was a valero clutch that looked pretty crappy. but i think they warranty it lmao.

thats is most likely your initial problem, and what caused you to smoke the clutch.

a manual trans will run on zero fluid. the gears would wear out from it, but it's not like a auto that uses a fluid link. worst case scenario in a manual that the clutch still partially engages.... your stuck in one gear due to sunchros being shot... but that one gear will work fine

your only partially engaging... and because your partially engaged... you have smoked the clutch and burned up the PP too

100 lbs with fluid still in it ? maybe less. 1 man job no probs and im only a buck fifty

leave the bell housing on it for removal....and then install the bell first. the headers can stay on it that way
