I have a 89 vert that i bought a 93 cobra brake booster/mc for. After realizing that the bolt holes aren't the same, and aren't even the right size, I was wondering if anyone else has done the install to see what they had to do, which holes they widened and if they had to bang in the strut tower at all. I read some other articles, but nothing was too helpful. Any advice would be great, thanks!

if i remember correctly, i elongated the two holes towards the middle of the engine bay. this allowed me to slip the booster in w/o banging down on the strut tower. it's a tight fit, but it worked for me.

Or you could take a closed end of a wrench, say....1/2" wrench, and place it over a stud on the booster and bend the stud slightly toward the passenger side. Repeat this on each of the 4 studs.
Doing this will allow you to slip the booster into the firewall without elongating any holes. I am not talking about a drastic bend either. You don't have to do anything ridiculous like a 45* angle bend, just enough to get it to slip in.
