Default best rings/ring gap for nitrous engine

i'm pulling the drivetrain out of my '95 this weekend and while it's out i think i'm gonna refresh it with new bearings/rings just for inexpensive security. what's a good brand ring set to get that are nitrous friendly, and what's a good gap for them? any help is appreciated. thanks.

That's also going to depend on the pistons...different pistons need different gaps for the same application.

But yeah, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Keep in mind that higher performance engines always have more blowby. Looser clearance to account for more heat and/or more cylinder pressure will make more blowby.

not really. but i think i washed down the cylinders early on, the tune was messed up yet again and ran hella rich for the beginning of its life.

Have you run a compression test or a leakdown test on it?

it does depend on the piston brand sometimes.

but from what i've been reading its around .30-.35 gap for nitrous applications.

on n/a ive always seen .24 for the top, and .26 for the bottom if you want to really be precise.

imo, moly ring's will do ya fine.
