Default Heat problems...

ive recently (a few months ago) swapped a 87 5.0 into my 93 foxbody and havent had too many problems.. nothing major anyway but since its cold ive found out that my heater is only blowing cold air.. i topped off on coolant and have made sure to let it warm up and when i turn on the heat it will blow warm for a few seconds then cold again.. any suggestions.. the thermostat is good, checked it when swapping and the coolant temp sensor is also good but my temp gauge doesnt read.. also the oil pressure gauge doesnt read correctly (but i think the gauges are just wiring problems from having a 93 dash 90 computer and harness and 87 engine) any suggestions would be great! thanks!

For the gauges, you can try grounding the sender wire and see if the gauges move. If they dont, look at the fuses/fusable links.

As for the heat issues, is the HACV box workign correctly when you manual select from cold to hot? Any issues with the vacuum hoses that help control the blend doors?

well the oil pressure gauge rises a little but not much.. when i first swapped and tried running it the gauge moved the same as it does now but dropped to nothing and i pulled the engine and pan and found the pumped was clogged so i fixed that but the gauge still reads low but hasnt dropped since.. as far as the temp gauge it doesnt move at all.. and im not sure if i grounded the correct wire but it didnt move.. what wire do i ground exactly? and as far as the heating.. im not sure if it could be clogged up or something because the engine was in a 87 convertible and just sat in a garage but the heat in my 93 worked great when it was the 4 cylinder.. but after the 5.0 swapp it hasnt.. so i think the whole hvac system in the dash is good because i didnt change any of that..
