idle issues
i have a 91 gt that is still fuel injected with and 87 motor and comp in it all wiring and everything is there but i had the same problem when it was in the 87 gt i can start the car and the idle goes up and down for about 5 min then smooths out for about 3 min then it will gradually idle up and continue to idle up until i shut it off then i start it back and it does the same thing but will not idle up stays at a stedy idle 800 rpm to be exact once it stops idling up and down im thinking its the tps sensor on the car but really not sure any help is greatly apreciated
the next issue im having is tryin to line up the hatch on the car i have adjusted and adjusted but i cant get it to straighten out could the hinges on the hatch be warped ?

Fix the loose pcv valve grommet that causes a vacuum leak at rear of intake, remove idle air control valve and soak it with carbon cleaner, make sure you remove the electric motor on the iac valve before soaking, two phillip head screws, reinstall, then remove spout connector and time engine at 10 degrees, re-adjust idle after timing, then re-adjust tps sensor between .80 and .99 volts, then remove negative battery cable so computer can re-learn new settings.

loosen the tps screws with a t-15 torx bit, look for black, green and orange wires leading into tps, take a pin and stick it into the black wire, take another pin and stick it in the green wire, put your volt meter on the lowest volt scale and put the red probe on the green wire pin and black probe on black wire pin and read the volts with the key in the forward on position, then turn the loosened tps to desired .80 to .99 volts, remember to adjust idle first because adjusting the idle changes tps setting voltage, it doesnt matter which voltage number as long as its between .80 and .99 volts.
