94 gt cam selection?
I got a 94 mustang gt w/ 4.10s o/r bbk x pipe and dumps b4 the axle. The next thing im thinking about doin is a cam. I want a F cam to help out with more top end but am worried about the PTV clearance. Anybody have any advice on what i should choose? also what else would be needed when doing the swap, springs, rockers, etc...? Thanks

RE: 94 gt cam selection?
most people say with stock pistons stay below .512 lift. any cam swap will require upgraded springs, and depending on the cam 1.7RR. your car wont want to run with a cam swap though, the sn95s arent happy when it comes to cam swaps, unless you switch to a 89-93 MAF.

im currently running a fcam in my sn95 works great but i have port and polished heads and a trickflow intake... never herd of using a 90-93 maf im using cl 76maf. I didnt change the springs or valves and no problems yet.

yup factory springs retainers and seals my springs where still good very good like allmost new im running a 75tb with the 76maf and bbk cold air intake and trickflow intakeand i have it tuned to where i dont even get a moving idle. so far so good only think about the cam i dont like is crusing slow in like second gear it bucks or lopes whatever you call it not to bad but any bigger would be way to much on stock heads.
