T5 to T56 conversion

On EBay I keep finding Corvette C5 T56 transmissions for cheaper than regular 5.0 T56 transmissions. What parts do I need to make the 'Vette T56 work on my '91 GT?

vette T56 wont ever work, its a transaxle piece.

you would need an entire case, output shaft set, nd buttload of other ****... totally not worth it

Well what about a Borg Warner T-56 from a Dodge Viper

you'll need a Viper...

T56 has an integrated bellhousing, so if it isnt made for a SBF, it wont work...

go to american powertrain. they are great. helped me out a lot. if you really want to do a t56, go with the t56 magnum. they sell kits to bolt right up no hassle, and they will help you with the right gearing in the transmission for your car
