My buddy has a 95 5.0 (like me). Currently, he has a Pacesetter O/R H pipe with the SLP LM2 cat-back..soon he wants to go shorty headers and get a new O/R H pipe cause the pacesetter is rusting..he also wants to get electric cut outs..now if we take it to a muffler shop, they can weld the cut-outs into the new H pipe right? cause he wants to put them where LT's would end if he had them (he used my car to gague where that is). I told him that we could do that..but I wasn't 100%..so here I am..what do you guys think?

Also, he is thinking about a cam..if he where to get the Ford Racing E or B cam..would he have to replace the valve springs and all those goodies? I know you need heads and an intake to get the most and he has the intake..but now wants a cam..yeah he doesnt really plan it all out..I've given up trying to help him..he just doesnt listen haha

yea man, if the shop has a good staff, or at least someone knows what they are doing with a welder, you can do anything to an exhaust. i just started working at rainbow mufflers in jax florida. the guy that owns it (matt) is ****ing awesome at welding, he does full custom exhausts, and man, he can normally get the frist 3 bends in without even walking. looks at the car, grabs a pipe, throws 3 bends where he thinks they should be and BAM!!! hes ready to put the muffler in. so yea, tell them what you want and they should be able to do it
