Default new t-5 need gear help

just finished the T-5 auto to manual conversion, the car was an auto so i put in a 4.10 gear but now that the swap is finished i hate the 4.10 its way to much gear for me.

the car is a daily driver so i was thinking about 3.55s but i keep hearing that 3.73s are the way to go in a 5 speed but i fear i will barely notice a difference between the 3,73s and the 4.10.

i want a gear to where i can actually use 1st gear right now it just gets me rolling to around 5 mph or so before i need to shift iv been just using 2nd in its place and it works fine but its annoying for a daily driver/street racer.

any recommendations?

3.73's will do the trick, 1st will be good to around 35mph, and you'll deff notice a difference vs the 4.10's

you could always go with 3.55's and build a nasty motor to overcome the gearing ...

no, because a built motor will spin the 6500+, not die off at 5500...

plus at that point youd be looking at a TKO which has a 2.87 first gear, not the T5's 3.35, so 6500/2.87/3.73/815(stock tire size)*60 = 45 is first gear...

just dont go with the .82 5th like me unless you want to be SCREAMIN on the highway lol

I have 3.73s now and its not enough gear. When I get back home, my car will be getting a set of 4.30's.

the problem you are having is the 3.35:1 first gear. You should have invested in a T5Z or a tremec with a taller first gear.

You can compensate with a taller tire. Dosent change the gear ratio but changes the roll out on the tire thus lowering rpms ur engine will turn in each gear to achieve the same speed as a smaller tire!
